Tab events are
at the church, 37th Street
entrance, unless otherwise noted. Some times and dates subject to
change. Some of the events below are not sponsored directly
by Tab; they can be UCC or Presbytery related events, or related events
sponsored or coordinated by Tab members.
(Please take note of the signs posted on the surrounding streets regarding
parking meters... we don't want people who come to Tab to get a parking
ticket!)

The
Fun! group is sponsoring a contest:
Do you really want to continue to look at the plain white walls
in the two Tab Restrooms? They're so basic and plain and we're really
a very colorful congregation. Don't you have some good ideas but
no more wall space in your own abode? Or wouldn't you like to conceive
of an original color/design scheme and try it out on some of your
good buddies?
The deadline
for submissions of ideas is Sunday April 6th at 1pm. So get your
ideas on paper or whatever media best expresses your thoughts
and place it in the Fun! Group mailbox, (to the left of the personal
mailboxes ) in the Community Room. Soon after that date, the Tab
Fun and Aesthetic Judges will meet to determine the one or two winners.

Pentacost, Sunday, May 11, 2008:
Dedication of new Bibles
Most of us are at Tab because someone in our past played a significant
role in teaching us about God and Christ and about the blessings
of being part of a spiritual community. Maybe it was a Sunday School
teacher, a pastor, a neighbor, a co-worker, a grandparent or parent.
Who are those people in your life?
This spring we have an opportunity to honor those people in a tangible
way. In a few weeks we will be replacing the aging, somewhat tattered
Bibles in our pew racks with New Revised Standard Bibles (the version
we use as the pulpit Bible), as well as two Spanish-language Bibles
and two each in Chinese (traditional script) and Korean. The Bibles
will be dedicated on Pentecost Sunday, May 11. We are all invited
to consider who those significant people have been in our faith formation
and to honor them by purchasing a pew Bible in their names for $12.
Dedication plates will be placed on the inside cover with the name
of the person being honored.
Dedication forms
and additional information is available in the April
Tab newsletter.
